One start screen

Everything an officer needs, two taps away.

Officers sign in on their phone and land on one screen. A count on each button shows what is new or what they still need to do, and the same total shows on the app icon.

  • Who is on call, with a tap-to-call number, between the greeting and the first button.
  • Notices: time off decided, schedule changes, overtime awarded, training coming up and closed days in the next week.
  • A Home button on every page, so no one gets stuck three screens deep.
  • Their own records only: their schedule, hours, TCOLE needs and firearms records.

Shift Ready runs in the phone's browser and can be added to the home screen, where it opens full screen like any other app.

  • Phone notifications for approvals, schedule changes, open overtime and part-time jobs, turned on by the officer.
  • Always the newest version: when an update is released, the app picks it up the next time it is opened.
  • Signed out after 30 minutes idle on shared computers, so the next person can't use someone else's sign-in.

Pass Along Info

What the last shift knows, the next shift sees.

Officers and supervisors post short notes: a hazard, an open call, a car to watch for. Each post is stamped with the time and the poster's name, newest on top, on the first screen officers open.

Posts cannot be edited or removed. They are kept for two years and then removed automatically, and supervisors can download every post for the department's records.
